CCIL makes it special for special children

With Children’s day celebrations organized at varied schools across the country, Country Club had a unique plan in mind. At our Bannerghatta club, the manager with his team invited differently abled children from Divya Down Syndrome Development Trustand organized a special celebration.

Ray Lyman Wilbur once said ‘Unless we think of others and do something for them, we miss one of the greatest sources of happiness’. I can’t help thinking of this line, which is extremely significant. Each of us should endeavour to make a conscious effort to think of the other.

Statistics of our special children (As per C.R.Y. – Child rights and you)

– One in every ten children is disabled in India.

– 3% of India’s children are mentally/physically challenged.

– Mentally/physically challenged girls are at a particular risk to violence

and abuse.

In the end, I will leave you with this ‘It means a great deal to those who are oppressed to know that they are not alone. And never let anyone tell you that what you are doing is insignificant’ – Bishop Desmond
